This paper describes two methods for dismantling
concrete chimneys. The first uses a mini-digger that is pulled up the chimney
initially and then is clamped to the walls. It demolishes the sections of wall
between its supporting feet and then is moved down the chimney on to secondary
feet so that it can then demolish the newly exposed upper parts.
